 In addition to her former roles as the Founder and Managing Member of The Cook Law Group, PLLC and Ca-Co Global Inc., Candice Cook Simmons has served as an advisor of record for startups and businesses in the technology, real estate, social impact, media, and music industries including: Culture Shift Labs, Para Music Group, Storyblaster, The History Makers, Nexus Global Summit, and Hurston House.

She currently serves on the Board of Directors for Greyston Bakery (the oldest B Corporation in New York) where she is the Chair of the Nominating and Governance Committee and  ISAIC (Industrial Sewing & Innovation Center) a clothing manufacturing facility based in Detroit. Their respective initiatives surrounding workforce development contribute significantly to the business ecosystem and Candice is proud of her professional collaboration with leaders in the political and business arena in a national effort to advance solutions that facilitate growth in the business ecosystem.  

Candice Cook Simmons also serves as a Venture Partner for Republic – a private investing platform for investors seeking high growth potential in the startup, gaming, real estate, and crypto verticals, thus, continuing her commitment to remaining at the forefront of technology while supporting the allocation of capital to startups on a global scale. 

In 2021, Candice Cook Simmons joined the Brooklyn Chapter of Jack & Jill of America, Inc.—a leadership organization formed during the Great Depression focused on bringing children together in a social and cultural environment. She presently serves as the Secretary and Treasurer for the division of the chapter focused on the development of children ages 2-5.

 

In 2020,

Candice Cook Simmons was proud to support the phenomenal work of the Executive Director of The HistoryMakers, Julianna Richardson, on the televised programming of its 20th Anniversary with the Library of Congress Special in December of 2020. 

The Booz Allen Foundation selected Candice Cook Simmons to serve as a judge for the allocation of the $1 million in grants from the Booz Allen Foundation Innovation Fund which was established to support the development of creative solutions that address the wide-ranging impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Candice Cook Simmons served on the Host Committee for the national stage production tour of Ta-Nehisi Coates' Between The World And Me.
